Members of Ballyphehane/Togher Art + Craft Initiative also participated in the project, and as a voluntary collective designed and produced a significant number of layettes, as a deceased infant’s first and last amuletic robe. These tiny white sets were donated
to maternity hospitals nationally.

The layettes originated during the Amulet projects research phase when project partners identified a link between the idea of an Amulet and that of a deceased baby’s transitional gown.

Additionally coffin wraps were also produced for the maternity unit in Waterford Regional Hospital.
