Discussion Event at The LAB Gallery, Dublin
A public events programme accompanied the exhibition of the Anamnesis artwork by Marie Brett at The LAB Gallery in Dublin. A round table discussion event was hosted Create (the national development agency for collaborative arts in Ireland) with invited contributors from arts, healthcare and bereavement settings, as means to informally discuss the Anamnesis artwork and Amulet project. Contributors included: Sheena Barrett (LAB curator/Dublin City Arts Officer), Anne Mullee (curator/writer); Cathy Quinn (bereavement consultant/University Maternity Hospital Limerick); Carol Falvey (Midwife, National Maternity Hospital, Dublin); Séan O’Sullivan (curator/writer/Arts Council visual arts advisor); Mary (project participant); Ceara Conway (artist); Frances Mezzetti (performance artist); Dominic Thorpe (performance artist) and Marie Brett (artist).

Live performance, Dublin
To accompany the launch of the Anamnesis artwork by Marie Brett exhibited at The LAB Gallery in Dublin, four artists were invited to make a live performative response to the artwork: Ceara Conway (voice / performance); Helga Deasy (dance); Frances Mezzetti (performance artist) and Dominic Thorpe (performance artist).
The event was produced by the artist in association with LAB curator Sheena Barrett and Katherine Atkinson, professional development staff member at Create (the national development agency for collaborative arts in Ireland).
